WII (Wildlife Institute of India) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Eco development, and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library. It is recruiting application for the post of Scientist.

  • Scientist C: 2 Posts
  • Scientist D:  1 Post
• Qualification:
  • For Scientist C Post: Master’s in Wildlife Science/ Life Science/Computer Science/Veterinary Sciences with 3 years experience in required areas or Ph.D. in any of above fields with 1 year experience in required areas.
  • For Scientist D Post: Master’s in Wildlife Science/Life Science/Computer Science/Veterinary Sciences with 7 years experience in required areas or Ph.D. in any of above fields with 4 years experience in required areas.
• Max Age:
  • For Scientist C Post: 31 years in case of candidates possessing Master’s and 34 years in case of candidates having Ph.D.
  • For Scientist D Post: 35 years in case of candidates possessing Master’s and 38 years in case of candidates having Ph.D.
• Pay Scale:
  • For Scientist C Post: Rs.15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs. 6,600/- per month
  • For Scientist D Post: Rs.15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs. 7,600/- per month
• Mode of Selection: On the basis of Written Test & Interview.
• Application Fees: Rs. 1,000/- for all candidates except PWD & Woman Candidates.
